Players Are Abandoning Black Ops 6 Over Issues, Even Though the Game Is Fun

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has faced various issues since its release, with server problems and bugs being some of the most prominent. These range from simple problems, such as loadout weapons resetting after a match, to more severe ones like Zombies Solo being completely unplayable. Even after two major seasonal updates, the game still suffers from many issues, prompting some players, including a professional Call of Duty streamer, to stop playing the game during their live streams.

During a stream, Nadeshot openly discussed his frustrations with Black Ops 6, stating, “someone is always cheating, the network is terrible, or the game is broken.” He’s not alone in his criticism. Recently, a post highlighted how Warzone and BO6’s hit registration problems have become worse, even compared to other games like XDefiant, which speaks volumes when compared to a game that’s already struggling.

However, Nadeshot, who is also the CEO of 100 Thieves, acknowledged something important: “The game is fun.” Despite all the flaws, players continue to return to the game, working to unlock new camouflages or taking on challenging bosses, such as Citadelle des Morts, with unique loadouts. The core gameplay in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone is solid, but persistent technical issues are hindering the overall experience.

For example, Valorant, another popular FPS, uses 128-tick servers to provide a smoother experience, preventing issues like Packet Burst from disrupting matches. It’s a feature many players are wondering why hasn’t been implemented in BO6 and Warzone yet. The developers have clearly put in the effort to create an engaging game—so why not support it with improved infrastructure?

Right now, the two biggest issues plaguing Black Ops 6 are server instability and hackers, both of which have been recurring problems in recent Call of Duty titles. While Treyarch and Raven Software are working hard to fix bugs with each update, they unfortunately lack the ability to address the server and anti-cheat issues that continue to affect the game.
